​Dear Parents and Students,
     I am excited to work with you and help you reach your short term and long term goals in this class.  I will provide you with many opportunities to learn and develop a good study habit that will improve test-taking skills.  
     This is not a flipped classroom.  Although class notes are taken from home through the website, we go over these notes in class and work on practice sets.  Have you ever been in a conversation where you had no idea what the topic was about?  Let's say, you missed a game and everyone was talking about it?  How did you feel? Left out? Exactly! Coming to class prepared is crucial to your learning. In order to learn, you need to participate and interact with the material.  Find time to take notes from home and watch the accompanying video, write down questions or anything you did not understand to share during class discussions.  I can only help you with what you do not know if you yourself know what you do not know and ask me for help. 
     Getting behind is not option.  Learning should be fun.  I know since I had many years of schooling.  If all you do is catch up, you will burn out.  If you get behind, you lose self esteem and motivation, that may lead to giving up. Stay on top and make it a habit.  It starts NOW!
